Participation Information

Participation at the Star Senior Center is open to persons who are 60 years of age or older and any guest. Anyone is welcome at the Center.  The Star Senior Center is neither designated nor qualified for Adult Day Care. All participants must be able to physically care for themselves or have a personal assistant with them. This includes being able to navigate a walker or wheelchair and function independently.

Appointment Days and Shopping

Appointment and shopping days are on Monday-Friday.  For a rides to appointments or shopping, you need to call Valley Regional Transit's (VRT) "Beyond Access on Demand" line at 208-345-7433.  The Star Senior Center no longer has a van to use for transport.

Lunch Bingo & More!

A nutritional lunch is served on Wednesdays and Fridays at 12 PM. Suggested donation for persons age 60 and over is $5.00. Persons under 60 are required to pay $8.00. Groups visiting are asked to make reservations by calling 208-286-7943. Visit or call the Center for a lunch menu. Bingo is immediately after lunch and costs $.05 a card.  There are regular prizes for the first bingo and small candy bars for each card after that.  The center also has dominoes and a pool table available on lunch days.
