All Aboard
by Mary Ann Fraser (located at State St. and Highbrook Way)
The art for ALL ABOARD was created using several resources found online and in our Star Library collection. It honors the Interurban Railway completed in 1907 and specifically the Star Depot. The depot included a freight office and passenger waiting room and was built at Valley and Knox Street. The Interurban went out of business in 1928, and the depot was moved to the east side of town in the 1950’s. I like to think of this image as a commemoration of times gone by. It is also a reminder of Star’s importance as one of the Boise Valley’s first settlements.
