Special Event Permit Applications

If you are hosting an event on city property that will be open to the public,  the event host must complete the "Special Events Permit Application" (in the Supporting Documents section below) and submit to Star City Hall AT LEAST 30 days prior to your event. Keep in mind that if food is being served to the public, proof that Central District Health has been notified of your event must be included with your application and they too require 30 days notice, so early planning is essential. Incomplete applications will be rejected and returned.  You can find additional information on event and temporary food establishment requirements on Central District Health's website.

Non-profits registered with an address within Star city limits, or individuals hosting an event where all proceeds benefit a non-profit with a Star city address may be eligible for one free rental per year, subject to approval.
Waiver of ther rental fees does not make the City of Star a sponsor of the event.  Use of the city seal on marketing materials or promotional items without express written permission is prohibited.  (Ref Title 1, Chapter 11 of Star City Code)
